The thing that got me thinking is about what I read on the walls of the Baclayon Church on the Philippine island of Bohol, where first inhabitants were there about 50,000 years ago, I am thinking why didn't Christ come then, not to Bohol but to the world? I think it could possibly be, he came just before we started to really develop, meaning, they had language, customs, housing, and food all established. Another thing I wonder about is that It has only been in the last 100 years that man has really excelled in Technology as we live today, for some reason, why only in the last 100 years not 2000 years ago?

That's the reason I refuse to watch it. I watched the first episode and saw it was only loosely based on the Bible - with a lot of fiction thrown in for good effects. My concern is - like most humans - visual recall is often stronger than what is read. Time will come when people will say 'it's in the Bible', when in reality the person saw it on The Chosen and now think they read it in the Bible.

It is not accurate to say the New Testamennt ever has Jesus explicitly claiming to be God (pr implicitly). It proclaims him to be God's so, meaning his miraculously begotten Messiah/Christ (His Anointed-King descended from David). Take heart, the Bible will never condemn you for believing this, though other Christians, influenced by the post Biblical 4th century councils, will.

Brandon, in humbleness, I (and many others, and scripture itself) must say it is tremendously innacurate to say Jesus ever explicitly claimed to be God (or even implicitly). Every argument ever is based on supposed inference, or of the supposed implication of sayings. Key word "supposed". We can never stop fighting for the explicit truth of the scriptures, that Jesus and his Apostles explicitly claimed him to be God's son, meaning his Messiah/Christ (His Anointed-King descended from David), and that it is by believing this we may have life in his name. The confession that he was the Christ, the son of the living God, was good enough for God and Jesus, and John writes that thimat belief was the intention and purpose of his gospel (John 20:31). Unlike the church councils dogmatic decision to claim anyone who doesn't believe Jesus is the true God (instead of the true God's son) is not Christian, the scriptures never do that to us! It makes sense. I’ve always strived to be the teacher who is kind and compassionate. My preference is for students to call me by my given name rather then my surname. I work to develop a deep bond because at the end of the day if they trust you they also respect you. And if they respect you they’ll listen. This worked out well when I had a small group of students who were 4/5 years old. Yet when I worked in a public charter school I was told to have a relationship with all 23 of my students but I couldn’t be too nice or even show emotion. Oh and I needed to make more time outside of the workday for my students so the parents could call/conference with me. Even though I’m there 7:15-4:10 that isn’t enough time. Doesn’t matter that in between I had daily radiation for cancer treatment according to another teacher I needed to make more time. I learned it’s okay to show emotion because it’s important for the kids to see you have emotion because you’re not just there to teach them the content you’re there to model behavior too. Jesus did this with his own disciplines. So I think perhaps without realizing it completely I’m the sort of teacher who models after Jesus. ❤😃.

I had not heard anyone teach this passage using the word resuscitation before either. However spiritually speaking I can understand why you don't use the word resurrection. I believe the Bible teaches that resurrection involves a perfectly formed spiritual entity with no humanity associated with the body. In other words, a miraculous transformation of ourselves. Lazarus did not escape all of humanity. In Jesus's words, he was asleep. Yes, he was dead, and he started to go through the decay process. But do you get what I'm trying to say? He didn't get made perfect and new. God hadn't done that for him; he was not resurrected. Anyway that's my take on it. I appreciate your teaching all the time.

if people actually listen to God, in the context of John 11 he tell you why "Jesus Wept" and it was right before his crucifixion and 3 years of ministering to Israel. Most people belive what men say (Empathy) which is not what God says. Why is it people do not study Gods word as he commanded?

Correct. Many of the events in the show are out of order or combined with other events in the Bible that took place at a different time. Back stories bring the characters to life for us but are unlikely to be close to accurate, as we have no details.

This reaction by people has taught me something. We are still unwilling to blame ourselves for the wicked acts of the world, sin in other words. We blame God for everything and think that Jesus who like us was human can stop everything and every harm to everyone at anytime with no consequences or heartache. Jesus I’m sure was exposed to many corruption and death through his ministry and I’m sure everyone wasn’t healed or saved.

I've always wondered why. Why did Judas betray Christ? Why did Peter deny Christ? Were they responding to their own emotions or were they acting out the will of God? God hardened Pharaoh's heart. How do we know that God didn't also cause Peter's fear that caused him to deny Christ so that he could live to continue to spread the message of Christ? How do we know that God didn't cause Judas to betray Jesus so that everything would happen in His time? Were those acts wrong, or were they necessary?
